The aqualis base is a reservoir of the aqualis series and intended for direct mounting to a pump adapter not included in the delivery. The AGB is equipped on the bottom with connecting flanges and is attached to the adapter with only four screws. It should be noted that the expansion tank can only be used with a suitable aqua computer pump adapter.

The container itself is made of high-quality borosilicate glass, which, in contrast to the acrylic glass often used for tube expansion tanks, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube of this 450 ml reservoir has an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid of the aqualis series, however, are made of Delrin and connected by a stainless steel tube inside the AGBs.

A visual highlight is the integrated water column effect. If the return line is connected to the connection in the base, the water flows through the central stainless steel tube to the cover and exits through eight openings, which is a real eye-catcher especially in connection with lighting. A thin acrylic sheet close to the bottom of the aqualis minimizes air entry into the circuit. This version also has an acrylic glass window integrated into the base and can accommodate up to six 5mm LEDs (not included).

The inside of the glass tube is additionally provided with a nano-coating, whereby the water simply bubbles off the glass wall. This creates a very special optical water-drop effect, which visually enhances the entire expansion tank visually.

Note: The expansion tank can only be used in combination with a matching, separately available pump adapter.
